Quantum Key Distribution is a technology that exploits the laws of quantum physics to guarantee the security of communications across optical networks. ID Quantique played a prominent role in the development of this technology and was the first vendor to bring a product to market. It is now carrying out an EU funded research project to conduct a rigorous and in-depth analysis of the security of Quantum Key Distribution technology in view of achieving standardized information assurance. ID Quantique is seeking to hire a Postdoc who will carry out research on methods for the design and analysis of security of quantum key distribution systems. This includes: analyzing existing frameworks and adapting them to quantum key distribution, developing threat models as well as evaluating existing systems. Profile:
You will be hired by ID Quantique on an FP7 Marie Curie project for an 18 month assignment. Due to Trans-national mobility requirements, you should not have resided in Switzerland for more than 12 months in the past 3 years. After the completion of the project, a permanent R&D position may be available.
