Winter School 2017
The 9th Winter School on Quantum Cyber Security will, once again, be held in the Swiss ski resort of Les Diablerets between 14th -20th January 2017.
Following the success of last year’s format, the 2017 event will feature a two-track program. The two-day Executive Track will provide a high level overview of quantum threats and cyber security. The longer Technology Track, which will last 5 days, will go into technical details.
On The Right Track?
If you are a busy CISO, risk manager, security expert or an engineer who has been wondering about the quantum buzz, the Executive Track is for you.
You will learn about the real status of the quantum computer, what it can and can’t do, the advantages for big data and the threat it poses to today’s cryptography, identity and access management, and security systems.
Next in line, world leading experts will take you through next generation security solutions, including quantum-safe security and quantum-resistant public key infrastructure. A practical quantum risk assessment follows to educate you on the real risk for your corporation or industry, ending with real-life demonstration of solutions and a panel discussion.
The courses will be held by leading industry professionals and academic experts.
If you are a physicist or a computer scientist, with little background in the new exciting field of quantum computers and quantum communications, join us for the week-long Technology Track.
In addition to the above answers to the “What?” question, you will also obtain answers to the “How?” question. The course includes more on the quantum computer (theory and implementation), a complete analysis of quantum key distribution, and advanced topics such as quantum memories and quantum repeaters, together with hands-on experience on real systems.
Who Will Be There?
Our distinguished speakers this year include:
This Winter School is a unique opportunity to learn about the new field of quantum cyber security, to understand the state-of-the-art practical quantum communications and to gain hands-on experience. Last but not least, it will take place in the beautiful location of a traditional Swiss ski resort.
