ID Quantique SA announced the appointment of Kelly Aston Richdale as Vice President Sales and Marketing to build up its Network Encryption division and strengthen further its position in the network encryption market. Kelly Richdale, who has worked for 10 years in the high-tech sector as an entrepreneur as well as in executive posts, joined the company in October. Grégoire Ribordy, CEO of ID Quantique SA, commented , "We are happy to welcome Kelly into our team. Her arrival is an important stage in the development of our company and attests to the strategic direction we are taking".

As the company has recently expanded its international sales force, Kelly Richdale will focus on the development of the Swiss and European markets for encryption products. She will be responsible for the growth strategy and support the new sales team in the field.

Before joining ID Quantique, Kelly Richdale co-founded the company A4Vision in 2001. A4Vision was active in the global 3D face recognition market for biometric security, with the headquarters in California. She managed the Geneva-based EMEA headquarters until 2007, when the company was acquired by Bioscrypt, and then by L-1 Identity Solutions in 2007. Kelly Richdale remained on the board of the company and continued to work there until 2010. During these nine years she contributed significantly to the development of the company, both defining and implementing the marketing and sales strategies on an international level.

Previously she worked in the world of media and marketing as the founder and director of her own television and radio production company Prologue Productions (Media) Ltd in Russia, and subsequently as a director of Lycos Europe in Germany.

Kelly Richdale gained her MBA from INSEAD, and speaks Russian, French and German fluently as well as her mother tongue of English. During her career she has received different prizes, including the SwiTi Technology Innovation award in 2004.
