Geneva, 19th September 2011 – ID Quantique SA (IDQ), the leader in high-performance network encryption solutions based on conventional and quantum technologies, today announced the launch of its new CypherMonitor application. CypherMonitor complements IDQ’s existing range of high performance network encryptors, allowing users to monitor their encryptor fleet for security or compliance breaches. CypherMonitor enables real-time pro-active alerts via mobile telephone or SMS, as well as regular configurable reports. CypherMonitor is powered by NetGuardians, a leading Swiss-based vendor of operational risk mitigation software, including behavioural analysis and reporting of business and IT operations.

Pro-active alerts can be sent to security heads based on configurable parameters, such as an attempt to hack into an encryptor or to set it to Bypass mode, where data passes in the clear without being encrypted. Regular reporting provides security managers a comprehensive and automated overview of different encryptor events, alarms and operations in a single clear document. This allows scheduled and timely interventions into the network. In addition, the reports provide regular and verifiable status updates on key compliance parameters for audits or forensic analysis. CypherMonitor can also be configured to provide data as an input into incident management platforms, such as for example IBM’s Tivoli.
