FROM THE LAB Quantum key distribution is a technology that allows to exploit the laws of quantum physics to secure optical networks. In April 2009, IDQ deployed the SwissQuantum pilot quantum key distribution network in Geneva. This network will run until the end of 2010 to reach more than 18 months of continuous operation. |
