id100 Series Resource Center

The id1XX Single-Photon Detector Series is a family of high-performance single-photon detectors based on a Silicon avalanche photodiode operating in Geiger mode and monolithically integrated with read out electronics. It includes three group of products:

  • id100: stand alone single-photon detector module
  • id101: single-photon detector component for OEM integration
  • id150: array of single-photon detectors in the form of a standalone module

Application Notes

id1XX Single-Photon Detector Series

Application Note: Fluorescence Lifetime Measurement

This application note describes the use of an id100 single-photon detector module to perform fluorescence lifetime measurements.

Application Note: Dynamic Light Scattering

This application note describes the use of an id100 single-photon detector module for the measurement of light scattered by particles. By analysing the fluctuation on the scattered intensity it is possible to evaluate the particle size.

Time-Correlated Single-Photon Counting (TCSPC) Performance of the id100-50 Detector

This report summarizes the results of Becker&Hickel’s evaluation of the id100-50 single-photon counting module.

Timing stability of Time-Correlated Single-Photon Counting (TCSPC) Experiments

This article describes experiments studying the variation of the instrument response function (IRF) with the count rate and the timing drift for a Becker&Hickl SPC-140 TCSPC module and a number of commonly used single-photon detectors, including the id100-20.
