| id200 SERIES id201 SINGLE PHOTON DETECTION MODULES - NEAR INFRARED RANG E (900 - 1700nm) IDQ has released the id201, offering new functionalities such as an adjustable detection probability and a range of other features. The detection probability can now be increased up to 25% ! An ultra-low noise grade has just been added, offering a further improvement in device performance. The id201 offers a well-thought design with intuitive menus and an ergonomic display. A large number of parameters can be adjusted via the graphical interface. The id201 connects easily to PCs via an optional serial interface. A Labview Virtual Instrument is provided to remotely control the id201 in no time. The id201 is the most reliable photon counter on the market. It is built on the same platform as its predecessor, the id200, which has been used by researchers around the globe since first launched in early 2002. The photodiode at the heart of the id201 meets the most stringent reliability requirements (Telcordia GR-468-CORE). Based on an InGaAs/InP avalanche photodiode biased beyond breakdown voltage, it features high detection efficiency, as well as low noise and low timing jitter. The product is available with a singlemode or multimode input (click here to choose). Exploiting its experience in single-photon detection, id Quantique has designed its module in collaboration with researchers of the Group of Applied Physics, University of Geneva, ensuring simple operation and high performance. It also added truly invaluable functionalities, such as an internal counter and an adjustable dead-time.
