4^th Winter School on Practical Quantum Cryptography

The fourth edition of the Winter School on Practical Quantum Cryptography took place in Switzerland in January 2012.

Pr. Nicolas Gisin, one of the world's leading researchers in the area of quantum communications, shares his vision of an entanglement based large scale quantum network.

Hands-on Training:
The program included three hands-on training sessions covering Optical Instrumentation and Photon Counting, Quantum Key Distribution with the Plug and Play platform, Ethernet encryption and network testing.

Dr. Vadim Makarov, one of the key note speakers, helping the students in one of the hands-on sessions.
