Welcome to QuEST: The latest quantum and cybersecurity news brought to you by ID Quantique.
In this edition, we are excited to announce the launch of two new high performance QRNG PCIe cards, which join our Quantis family of Quantum Random Number Generators.
Together with SK Telecom, we are pleased to lead the international standardisation of quantum-safe technology, after our report on ‘Security Considerations for Quantum Key Distribution Network’ received final ITU-T approval.
We then look at all the news and developments to hit the headlines in our Q1 quantum computing industry review.
Finally, we would like to invite you to two webinars: ‘How to build the journey towards quantum-safe data security’ on 20 May and ‘Why does quantum technology matter in IoT Security?’ on 28 May.
Enjoy the reading and stay healthy!

IDQ launches two high performance QRNG PCIe cards
New to the Quantis family, they use our latest Quantum Random Number Generation technology for trusted, high-quality entropy & integrate NIST compliant post-processing.
Quantis QRNG PCIe-40M and PCIe-240M embed Quantis QRNG chips and can be used in two modes: Entropy source, where the random bits are directly generated from the physical source, and RNG data, where random bits are generated after a NIST compliant post-processing.

IDQ and SK Telecom lead international standardisation of quantum-safe technology
Our report on ‘Security Considerations for Quantum Key Distribution Network’ has received final ITU-T approval.
Providing security matters to be considered when applying QKD to telecommunications networks, it marks the first-ever QKD related standardisation work completed by SG 17.

Quantum computing industry review: Q1 2020
After a strong end to 2019, we look at the latest news and developments during the first quarter of 2020.
Highlights include Google’s CEO on quantum computing and encryption, IBM and Honeywell’s development drive, and new commitments from the US, India and France.

Webinar: How to build the journey towards quantum-safe data security
Join IDQ and dacoso on 20 May, 4pm CEST, for our latest Quantum-Safe Security webinar.
On this webinar you’ll learn about the changing data security landscape, the quantum-safe concept and the solutions currently available.

Webinar: Why does quantum technology matter in IoT Security?
Join us on 28 May, 5pm CEST as we look at the importance of cybersecurity in the hyperconnected world.
We’ll explain what’s at risk, the importance of a strong key in cryptographic algorithms and how quantum randomness assures you offer the highest level of IoT security to your customers.
