Welcome to QuEST: The latest quantum and cybersecurity news brought to you by ID Quantique.
In this edition, we announce the new version of our QRNG Quantis Appliance, which features our latest QRNG technology to provide true entropy for security and cryptographic applications.
Together with SK Telecom, we share the exciting news of the first smart power plant secured by 5G quantum cryptography, providing ultra-high security for its network.
We then look at the 2020 Thales Data Threat report, in which organisations acknowledge the impact of quantum cryptography, with 72% expecting to see its effect in the next five years.
Finally, we invite you to catch-up on all our latest Quantum-Safe Security webinars by watching them on-demand, and to join us at Black Hat USA 2020, which is now a virtual event.
Enjoy the reading and stay healthy!
A new version of ID Quantique’s QRNG Quantis Appliance is now available
The new version of the Quantis Appliance features our latest QRNG technology in a robust chassis to provide true entropy for security and cryptographic applications.
As a hardware source of trust for cloud or distributed environments, the new Quantis Appliance 2.0 distributes true and unpredictable randomness to multiple networking and security applications and systems in parallel, for bullet-proof protection of sensitive data, servers, virtual machines and private networks.
IDQ and SK Telecom announce the first smart power plant secured by 5G quantum cryptography
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) deployed QKD, providing ultra-high security for its network.
The technology has been applied to the communication network connecting its hydro & nuclear power headquarters and its power plant.
Organisations acknowledge impact of quantum cryptography
The 2020 Thales Data Threat Report reveals that 72% of respondents see quantum cryptography affecting their organisation in the next five years.
The study highlights that “quantum computing data security concerns are on the horizon” as one of seven key findings.
