It has been another busy month here at ID Quantique! We are delighted to announce the launch of the new ID 3000 Series of Picosecond Lasers, a cost-effective solution offering picosecond-pulsed laser light from UV to telecom-band wavelengths. The ID 3000 can be used with IDQ’s single-photon detectors and the ID900 Time Controller Series to enrich a range of ultrafast time-resolved single-photon experiments.

ID 3000 SERIES – PICOSECOND LASERS
ID Quantique’s ID 3000 Series is based on high-reliability semiconductor laser diodes operated in gain-switched mode, emitting laser pulses typically shorter than 30 ps across a broad segment of the electromagnetic spectrum (from 375 nm to 1550 nm).
Features include on-demand ultrafast pulses up to 40 MHz with ultra-low timing jitter, while maintenance-free 24/7 operation delivers excellent value for money.
USE CASE: ULTRA-BRIGHT ON-CHIP SINGLE-PHOTON SOURCES
Zhaohui Ma and Jia-Yang Chen, with Stevens Institute of Technology, have developed a state-of-the-art on-chip source of telecom-wavelength single photons, with their performance demonstrated by IDQ’s SNSPDs.
