Quantum Sensing News October 2019

Welcome to the latest edition of Quantum Sensing & Single-Photon Systems News; brought to you by IDQ, global leader in quantum photonics.

In this edition, we are excited to announce significant developments on our ID281 Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detection system, which now offers leading specifications in terms of efficiency and low noise.

Next week, you can come and visit us on our booth at Single Photon Workshop 2019 (SPW2019), the latest instalment in a series of workshops on single-photon technologies and applications. In Milan, we will be showcasing our products and have a live coincidence measurement and high resolution OTDR demonstration.

Finally, the IDQ Winter School is back for 2020 and we’d love to see you there. You can benefit from our early bird discount until end of October, so book now to avoid disappointment.

Best regards,

Discover our improved ID281 Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detection system

Our ID281 SNSPD system has evolved significantly since its introduction to the market. We now have the leading specifications in terms of efficiency and low noise.

In the 800 to 1000 nm range, we can deliver detectors with up to 90% system detection efficiency with no observable dark count in a one-minute period. Other important advances include a high-speed (up to 200MHz) SNSPD with a minimised efficiency drop in high counting rates at 1550 nm. Our fully automated 0.8 K cryogenic system can house up to 16 detectors and be seamlessly integrated in your experiment.
