Quantum.Tech, 10-11 September 2019, Boston, MA

The Quantum.Tech conference & exhibition will bring together the quantum environment in Boston to help understand the entire landscape and ecosystem of quantum technologies and see how they can fit together.

Quantum computing, quantum sensing & metrology technologies are moving from the lab to the shop floor. In addition, the existential threat posed to current secure networks by quantum computing is driving real-world urgency in quantum secure communications & cryptography. Driven by geopolitical concerns and government investment, underpinned by huge advances in computing power and technical knowhow, real life examples and practical use cases for quantum technologies are becoming more common place and proven. But many challenges remain, beyond the fundamental science.

Quantum.Tech is a global business conference & exhibition for commercial applications of quantum technologies. It addresses the challenges by bringing together the quantum environment in Boston during two days.

The goal is to help visitors and participants understand the entire landscape and ecosystem of quantum technologies and see how they can fit together. And to develop a roadmap and accelerate businesses quantum programs.

We are happy to announce that we will be holding two conferences during the event

Bruno Huttner, Director of Strategic Quantum Initiative at ID Quantique will give a talk on Secure communication & cryptography about QRNG, QKD vs post quantum cryptography (STREAM B) and Marc Nikles, Senior VP Quantum Sensing Division at ID Quantique  will give a talk in the Sensing & metrology stream on the latest industrial applications of quantum sensing technologies (STREAM C).

Come and Join us.

Speaker profiles

Bruno HuttnerBruno Huttner is the Director of Strategic Quantum Initiatives, and a Quantum Key Distribution Expert at ID Quantique. He is also the co- chairman of the Quantum-Safe Security Working Group (QSS WG) organized by the Cloud Security Alliance. The QSS WG has been formed to address key generation and transmission methods and to help the industry understand quantum‐safe methods for protecting their networks and their data.

Marc Nikles – Senior VP Quantum Sensing Division – has been actively involved in the sensing industry for more than 25 years as a researcher, sales and marketing executive and successful entrepreneur. Prior to joining ID Quantique, he was Meggitt’s Energy division Global Marketing Manager.

In 2000, he was the co-founder of Omnisens, a spin-off company of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) which pioneered long distance fibre optic sensing. Omnisens has developed and successfully marketed fibre optic based solutions for the Oil & Gas and Energy industries.

For more than 15 years Marc has led the development and growth of the company from start-up to a mature SME, as General Manager, CTO and CEO successively. From 1997 until 2000 he was Program Manager aerospace sensing applications at Vibro-Meter.
