This month we are very pleased to announce that Deutsche Telekom plans to make a strategic investment in ID Quantique, which will strengthen our position as a global leader in quantum safe communication solutions as well as Deutsche Telekom’s competitiveness in securing 5G networks.

In other news we have opened new offices in the USA and South Korea, which marks a new stage in the global strategy of the company and will enable us to better respond to the high interest in quantum technologies worldwide.

The strategic investment plan will allow Deutsche Telekom and our joint partners at SK Telecom to offer specialised, highly-secure 5G services backed by our quantum cryptography solutions.

IDQ continues global growth with new offices in USA and South Korea

We have recently expanded to new regions: America and Asia Pacific, with the opening of new offices in Washington DC and Seoul.

We have established a team dedicated to Quantum-Safe activities in Washington, while our local subsidiary in Seoul adds to our three key centres of research & development. This marks a new stage in the global strategy of the company and it will enable IDQ to better respond to the high interest in quantum technologies worldwide.

EU Launches Quantum Flagship

EU Announces 1st Quantum Flagship projects

The EU Quantum Flagship has launched its first projects that will focus on four key areas of quantum technologies: communications, computing, simulation and metrology/sensing.

Among the chosen projects is QRANGE, an initiative headed by Prof. Hugo Zbinden, co-founder of ID Quantique and Group Leader at Geneva University. It’s designed to push the boundaries of QRNG technology further than ever before. We are participating in this project, along with Bosch, Quside Technologies, Bruno Kessler Foundation and 5 universities.
