GreenZone Security adopts quantum technologies to secure the Internet of Things and make people’s lives safer
In December, the Korean company GreenZone Security Co.,Ltd, a cybersecurity company specialized in the Internet of Things (IoT) security, announced it has applied IDQ’s quantum random number generation (QRNG) chip to its security gateway equipment to increase the security of IoT devices.
In today’s hyperconnected world, our lives have become much more convenient. However, if exposed to hacking, this could cause incalculable property damages, social disruptions, and even casualties that are different from traditional cyber attacks.
GreenZone Security provides powerful security solutions making people’s life not only more convenient but safer too. The company developed a security platform optimized for the IoT environment: Smart Lightweight IoT security Platform, which includes smart lightweight encryption solutions that can be mounted on even the smallest of IoT devices. GreenZone Security’s gateways including IDQ’s quantum random number generator (QRNG) chip can safely deliver data generated from IoT devices to servers through data encryption.
The joint solution aims at strengthening the security in various IoT environments such as Smart City, Smart Factory, Smart Education, Smart Medical and Smart Home.
“I am happy to successfully enter the quantum security market through collaboration with IDQ, the world’s number one quantum cryptography company. Adding quantum technology will make IoT devices much more secure, thus people’s life safer.”
Koo Nam Ki, CEO of GreenZone Security Co. Ltd
“Even the simplest and least expensive IoT device needs to have the highest level of security and trust. Our miniaturized QRNG chips offer strengthened security to IoT devices. We are proud of partnering with GreenZone Security and look forward to further collaboration.”
