The 4th Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics Winter School will be held on January 27–28, 2026, at the University of Sheffield, UK, and will gather leading voices in quantum optics and nanophotonics to share insights and foster collaboration.

This session will explore how superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) enable ultrafast detection and photon-number resolving capabilities, unlocking new possibilities for quantum communication, quantum computing and advanced photonic systems.
