4th Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics Winter School, 27-28 January 2026, University of Sheffield, UK
ID Quantique is proud to participate in the 4th Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics Winter School, taking place on January 27–28, 2026, at the University of Sheffield, UK. This event brings together leading researchers and industry experts to explore cutting-edge developments in quantum optics and nanophotonics.
Join us on January 28 at 15:15, where Dr. Thomas Produit, Application Scientist at ID Quantique, will present during the session on “Opportunities for ultrafast and photon-number resolving SNSPDs.”
The 4th Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics Winter School will be held on January 27–28, 2026, at the University of Sheffield, UK, and will gather leading voices in quantum optics and nanophotonics to share insights and foster collaboration.
ID Quantique is proud to be part of this exciting program. On January 28, Dr. Thomas Produit, Application Scientist at ID Quantique (Genève, Switzerland), will present on the topic: “Opportunities for ultrafast and photon-number resolving SNSPDs.”
This session will explore how superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) enable ultrafast detection and photon-number resolving capabilities, unlocking new possibilities for quantum communication, quantum computing and advanced photonic systems.
The Winter School provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange on quantum technologies, including quantum communication, sensing, and photonic innovations. With a strong lineup of speakers from academia and industry, the program will cover the latest breakthroughs and applications shaping the future of quantum science.
