Senior Account Manager – Quantum-Safe Sales North America

Position overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Account Manager to lead enterprise and government sales across North America. This role combines strategic account development with deep industry expertise, particularly in IT cybersecurity, secure transport networks and telecommunications, and emerging quantum threats. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating highly regulated environments and understanding how to align customer needs with evolving technology standards and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and account growth initiatives in the banking & financial services and public sector markets.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with C-level decision-makers, including CISOs, CTOs, and procurement leaders.
- Identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions across cybersecurity, secure transport, and infrastructure readiness.
- Guide customers through complex sales cycles, including RFP responses, technical evaluations, and compliance discussions.
- Develop sales pipeline to achieve business targets to ensure profitability and scalability
- Demonstrate strong leadership to develop and lead business development activities to meet ambitious revenue growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical pre-sales, product, and marketing teams to optimize product and company positioning
- Stay informed on cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and activities from relevant standardization bodies (e.g., NIST, ETSI, ISO) and regulatory agencies (e.g., FISMA, FFIEC, SEC, CSA).
- Track and forecast sales activity accurately through CRM platforms like Salesforce.
Requirements
- 7+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, with 5+ years in cybersecurity, secure communications, or IT infrastructure in North America.
- Strong track record of selling to financial institutions and/or federal, state, or provincial government clients.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity technologies (e.g., Zero Trust, SIEM, endpoint protection, threat intelligence).
- Solid understanding of compliance standards such as NIST, FIPS, SOC2, and government procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering); advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) are a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across North America.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with fiber optic transport network equipment (e.g., DWDM, OTN, secure optical transmission).
- Understanding of quantum-migration strategies and post-quantum cryptography.
- Familiarity with quantum technologies, including quantum computing, and their implications for long-term security planning.
- Awareness of and engagement with industry standards bodies and regulatory frameworks shaping the cybersecurity and telecom sectors.
- Existing relationships with IT/security executives in Tier 1 financial institutions or government agencies.
- Experience working with OEMs, MSSPs, or systems integrators.
