As we continue to grow and advance our technological capabilities, we are seeking a talented Senior System Test Engineer to join our R&D department based in Geneva. As part of our Test and Releasing team, you will play a critical role in bringing our advanced quantum technology systems from prototype to reliable product and contribute to the development of cutting-edge systems at the intersection of physics, engineering, and quantum technologies.
Your primary mission will be system-level testing, validation, and debugging across hardware, software, and system interfaces. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will implement
testing activities to meet our product requirements and performances and ensure its efficient and reliable integration within our customer’s fast evolving environment. Your work will directly impact product quality, scalability, and readiness for deployment. This role combines hands-on engineering with system-level insight to bridge development and field performance.

Key functions and responsibilities
- Manage and execute test & integration activities to secure the high quality and robustness of our products.
- Define test plan, test cases and documentation, covering system functionalities and performance. Deliver Test reports.
- Develop scripts to execute automatically test procedures and integrate them in our automated test framework.
- Install, configure and deploy full systems.
- Investigates and implements solutions to product, process or test problems.
- Assist R&D developers during integration and support customer integration activities.
- Contribute actively to our Agile framework to ensure and continuously improve its overall efficiency.
Desired skills and experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Systems Integration and Test Engineering.
- Strong background in test engineering for complex, multidisciplinary systems—ideally in fields like network devices, security appliances, monitoring or computing systems.
- Good knowledge of network system administration and communication protocols.
- Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux based environments.
- Good understanding and handling of Web APIs and REST interfaces.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls).
- Experience with standard security concepts (algorithms, cryptographic keys handling, encryption, authentication mechanisms).
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Selenium, or similar).
- Proficient communication and organization skills are required to interact with internal company contacts and customers.
- Experience with testing functional interfaces a plus.
- Experience with external network monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies (SCRUM) and quality processes.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, managing change and complexity.
- Team-player, quick learner, proactive, and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in English (C1 level) both written and verbal, French is a plus.
